Saar Restaurants Ltd is looking for cooks for their ethnic Indian cuisine based restaurant in Northland, Waipapa.

Only New Zealand citizens, residents / permanent residents or on an open work visa allowing them to work without being sponsored for a new visa to work and HAVE either NZQF LEVEL 2 OR 3 qualification or one year work experience in relevant cuisine.

Job type: Full time and permanent

Wages: $29.66-$30 per hour

Overtimewill be paid at the same pay rate ($29.66-$30 per hour).

Hours: 30-35 hours per week

Wages will be paid directly into their nominated bank account fortnightly.

Schedule as per rostered, expected work late nights, weekdays and weekends, as flexible as required

Successful Cook applicantswill need to demonstrate they have the following skills:

• Able to prepare and season a range of specialist Indian dishes.
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.

- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes. -Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

• Participate in the creation of new dishes.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals to customers.
• Be able to handle a high-pressure work environment at peak times.
• Able to implement health & safety and hygiene standards as per our Food

Control Plan.
