Structural Engineer [Hungary]

 

Our team in Budapest is looking for a Structural Engineer to assist on international projects.
Responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Involvement in planning and designing underground/heavy civils works
• Preparation of detailed design calculations and drawings for main civil and underground works and involvement in drawing productions, design feasibilities and interfaces between key structural elements above and below ground

Candidate Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• Graduate in Civil / Structural engineering.
• Demonstrable post-qualification experience.
• Experience of the design and detailing of large scale underground reinforced concrete structures is required.
• Metro Station design experience would be advantageous
• Conversant with design programmes i.e. SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, Robot, SAFE etc. Also, knowledge of Bentley (Openroads/Aecosim) or Autodesk (Dynamo/Revit) products and delivering projects in BIM would be advantageous.
• Ambitious and self motivated
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (written and verbal) in ENGLISH, with HUNGARIAN being an advantage
• Willingness to travel
• Adopting an adaptive mindset and using strategic and critical thinking to approach problems in a new way
• Ability to deal efficiently with priorities and manage time appropriately
• A dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels including external stakeholders
• Adopting a proactive approach towards complex tasks and overall delivery
• Sound knowledge of professional and international standards
