Senior Application Support Specialist [Czech Republic]


 
About the role:

As a Senior Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing consultations, guidance and problem solving expertise in the team supporting business and mission critical services supporting DHL Supply Chain.
You will cooperate with DHL IT Services internal teams (database, network, operating system administrators and developers etc.) to maintain internal applications with minimal disruptions to the production environment.

Your work:

    Receives requests for support from business users
  • Prioritizes requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization in accordance with SLAs and current processes and procedures
  • Investigates problems and other support requests and takes appropriate actions
  • Analyze and prioritize problem tickets
  • Raise cases with External vendors like SOTI , Honeywell , Zebra….
  • Testing and deployment of new application versions
  • Follows quality standards and policies
  • Liaises with staff responsible for the design & development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements
  • On-call support (rotation within the team)

You should have:

  • Analytical skills and ability to get quickly from incident/problem to solution
  • Customer focus approach
  • Fluent English (both verbal and writing)
  • Previous experience in area of IT support
  • Experience in Windows server administration
  • Advanced knowledge of Powershell scripting
  • Familiar with MS SQL and/or Oracle DB, active SQL usage
  • Experience in Asset Management
  • Experience in Mobile Device Management
  • Android Knowledge
  • Team player attitude

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of web / application servers (Tomcat, Apache, Weblogic, IIS)
  • Cloud technologies such as Openshift, Azure, Docker
  • Android SDK Development
