Global Media Relations Manager [Denmark]

The Position

The position will interact with top management within Novo Nordisk, including members of Executive Management, Investor Relations, SVPs, CVPs, VPs, managers in HQ and members of the global communicators network. This position will also engage with various functions within Novo Nordisk. Key external relationships include journalists (international and Danish), government officials and agencies.

Your main task will include:

  • Handling of incoming media enquiries from International and Danish media
  • Advising Novo Nordisk spokespeople on communication strategy, key messages and delivery in connection with media appearances
  • Coordination of financial, sustainability and pipeline communication
  • Media training of Novo Nordisk spokespeople and facilitate interviews and other media events
  • Facilitate issues management workshops for global communicators and regional/affiliate management teams

Also, you will be driving communications projects in close collaboration with Investor Relations, Corporate Branding, Global Public Affairs and Corporate Content.


Qualifications

  • Journalist and/or a relevant university degree, e.g. political science or communication
  • 5-7 years working experience either as a journalist or from a communication job in an agency, company, or organisation
  • Public relations / media relations or strategic communication, is preferred, as well as experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Spoken Danish is preferred also written and oral fluency in English

About the Department

CDD Executive Office is a small and ambitious team placed in the area CDD which is home to around 930 colleagues located in Denmark India and the US driving value creation by developing differentiated products and safeguard patient’s safety.In CDD Executive Office we are driving the overall strategy and business priorities including sustainability, a curriculum for senior leaders plus leadership and internal communication. You will report to the Senior Director of the CDD Executive Office for CDD and you will also be part of the Novo Nordisk Global Communicators’ Network
